UPCOMING Punkblaster VST

Hell yeah! Are you ready to take your drums and kick them straight through the floor? Then you’re in the right place. PUNKBLASTER by Jimmy Flame for Atomic Grease Studios is built to rough up clean drums and turn them into something beautifully disgusting.

What It’s For

PUNKBLASTER is not about making drums pretty. It’s about making them mean—like PISSED mean. If your kit sounds too polished, too safe, or too clean for the mix, this is the kind of plugin that helps push it into the dirt where it belongs.

That’s the whole idea. Punk mixes need drums that feel loud, worn in, and a little dangerous, like you just scraped yourself out of a dumpster doing the walk of shame to the studio. PUNKBLASTER is made to help get you there fast, without overthinking it.

Why It Exists

A lot of drum processing tries to preserve everything. That’s fine if you want the pristine-and-clean approach. But rock ‘n’ roll wants impact, grit, and a lot of mess around the edges. PUNKBLASTER was made for that exact problem… or solution dare I say?

Think of it as the nasty cousin of PUNKMASTER. Where PUNKMASTER lives on the final bus and helps bring the whole mix together, PUNKBLASTER is there to wreck up the drums before everything gets glued down. Different job, same mission: make punk sound punk.

Side bar: it used to be really easy to achieve that dirty sound because we were all poor recording on inferior tape machines, turning things way up, and just saying fuck it. I know you know how dfficult that is in today’s digital cesspool. My plugins aim to correct that. All you have to do is pop this thing on and press record (or just play the drum track and engage).

Rock 'n' Roll Ain't Easy Listening

The point is simple. If your drums are too clean, too polite, or too controlled for the song, PUNKBLASTER gives you a fast way to fix that. It’s for people who want drums that hit hard, bark back, and leave lots of dirt on the tape. Like I said, getting this rough ass sound was easy before all this digital bullshit. So, let’s wreck with the tech! Know what I’m sayin’!?

So yeah, clean drum tracks are fine. But punk rock drums? They should sound like they survived something. PUNKBLASTER is for that.
